I met and married my wife in NoDak, nearly 25 years ago. For that reason alone, it's a pretty cool state.
Actually, this time of year, it's downright cold. And, apparently, even colder for Hillary.
Hope for Pandora is a place for a conversation about science and medicine. This site is one attempt to build a dialogue about science, medicine and society. You'll also find plenty of vignettes about my experiences in graduate school and as a medical student en route to becoming an academic emergency physician. I welcome and appreciate comments.

I'm an emergency medicine resident at Yale-New Haven Hospital. My academic interests include medical humanities and the social and political influences on science and medicine. At home, I like to garden and tackle do-it-yourself projects.
