100th Birthday!
Hope for Pandora turns 100 today! That's 100 posts. Thanks to all of you who are helping me develop my blogging voice. Extra bonus points go to folks who have made comments or clicked on ads! Use this entry to suggest topics or offer ideas about how to make my blog more interesting.
Hope for Pandora is a place for a conversation about science and medicine. This site is one attempt to build a dialogue about science, medicine and society. You'll also find plenty of vignettes about my experiences in graduate school and as a medical student en route to becoming an academic emergency physician. I welcome and appreciate comments.

I'm an emergency medicine resident at Yale-New Haven Hospital. My academic interests include medical humanities and the social and political influences on science and medicine. At home, I like to garden and tackle do-it-yourself projects.
